Civil Engineer from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and MBA from the Adolfo Ibáñez University. He has 30 years of experience in Chilean, Latin American and European Generation, Transmission and Distribution companies, and in energy, gas and energy interconnection businesses. In addition, he was director of the CDEC of the Central Interconnected System (SIC).
He was in charge of analyzing and proposing alternatives for electricity and gas regulation in Chile; was an active participant in all the regulatory processes of the last 20 years, with the contribution of relevant proposals for the regulatory changes associated with conventional generation, transmission, distribution, supply to regulated customers, supply bids, renewable energies, regulation of the gas market and rates, among others.
In August 2018 he was appointed by the President of the Republic, Sebastián Piñera, as Executive Secretary of the National Energy Commission, through the Public Senior Management System (ADP) of the Civil Service.
