Final Bid Report for 2018

8 de October del 2018

The National Energy Commission published the Final Report on Electric Supply Tenders for the year 2018, which determines the projected electricity demand of regulated customers of the National Electric System for the period 2018-2038, the level of recruitment of distribution companies and the projection of supply needs and resulting bids for the coming years.

Based on the information received from the distribution companies and the analysis of the CNE, an expected demand is projected by the Regulated Clients.

The CNE must prepare this report annually, within the framework of preparing background information to start the corresponding bidding processes, in case the need to carry them out is determined. The supply needs determined for each distribution company are established considering that they must have a permanent supply of energy that allows them to satisfy the total consumption of their customers subject to price regulation.

For these purposes, the Commission must design, coordinate and direct the execution of bidding processes, whose purpose will be that the distribution companies have long-term supply contracts to satisfy the consumptions of their customers subject to price regulation, in advance minimum of five years to the date of beginning of supply.
