Deninson Fuentes appointed Chief Electrical Department of CNE

Deninson David Fuentes del Campo was appointed head of the Electrical Department of the National Energy Commission, after concluding the public tender conducted through the Public Senior Management System (ADP) of the Civil Service.

Fuentes is a civil engineer from the Universidad de Chile and an MBA from the same University. With more than 18 years of professional experience in the field of Operation (economic and technical), Tarification and Planning of the National Electrical System. From the year 2017 to the present, he served as Head of the Electrical Planning Department in the National Electrical Coordinator. Previously, he held various positions in the head office of the Load Economic Dispatch Center of the Central Interconnected System (CDEC SIC). He has also worked in the academic world in various Chilean universities and is currently a professor in the Electrical Engineering Department of the University of Chile.

The Senior Public Management contest to provide this position began on October 21, 2018 and 151 applications were received.

The National Energy Commission (CNE) is the technical body in charge of analyzing prices, tariffs and technical standards to which the production, generation, transport and distribution of energy companies must adhere, in order to have a sufficient, safe service and of quality, compatible with the economic operation.

The Commission is affected by the Public Senior Management System established in Law No. 19.882.-
